AvtechTyee is searching for a Production Supervisor with continuous improvement experience and a roll-up-your-sleeves attitude to help position our company for new growth and improved social Management skills would be a real plus!

Primary responsibilities:

  • Releases and prioritizes work orders to achieve production schedules assigns work and estimates worker hour requirements for successful completion of job assignments while meeting delivery quality and cost metrics.
  • Correctly interprets specifications blueprints and job orders to workers and effectively assigns duties
  • Meets production schedules efficiencies and utilization targets
  • Recommends and initiates measures to improve production methods equipment performance and quality of product within company guidelines
  • Proactively works to improve working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop departments or work crew
  • Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems
  • Accurately maintains time and production records
  • Correctly and efficiently estimates requisitions and inspects material as required
  • Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments; successfully collaborates cross-functionally to deliver business results
  • Reports machine and equipment malfunctions to maintenance personnel and follows up to ensure successful and timely resolution
  • Ensures the smooth transition of work between shifts


And you will have:

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering Business Management or Operations Management is required.
  • At least 2 years supervisory experience
  • At least 2 years experience in a highly regulated manufacturing environment preferably machine shop
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge and experience in business supervision and management
  • Better than average written and spoken communication skills
  • Outstanding interpersonal relationship building and employee coaching and development skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a department and department staff members
  • Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment
  • Strong focus and attention to detail
  • Time management and organizational skills; ability to prioritize and multi-task in a complex business environment
  • Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Strong focus on customer service
  • Ability to quickly master new business knowledge and technical skills


**Must be authorized to work in the U.S.**

**This position requires either a US Person (as defined in applicable export regulations) or a non-US person who is eligible to obtain required export authorization**


The wage/salary range for this role is $95k - $128k depending on education and experience.
