Job Summary

As a Production & Yard Coordinator at our Sidney plant you will play a vital role in keeping our operations moving by coordinating inventory production schedules load readiness and deliveries while connecting our Operations Dispatch/Logistics and Sales teams. This hands-on role is perfect for someone who enjoys staying organized solving problems and making a daily impact. As a Production Scheduler & Inventory Coordinator you will:

  • Verify counts of inbound and outbound loads and reconcile quantities against applicable shipping inventory and load documentation.
  • Prepare and verify load readiness confirming required product quantities tagging and documentation are ready to support scheduled shipments.
  • Coordinate pick lists with the dispatcher and communicate shipping priorities changes or issues to the appropriate operational teams.
  • Conduct physical inventory counts and reconciliations as needed maintaining accurate inventory records and escalating discrepancies for resolution.
  • Coordinate production tagging activities to support accurate product identification inventory control and load readiness.
  • Meet daily with the Production team to ensure production plans are in place and being executed to meet customer lead times for delivery.
  • Facilitate production and shipping meetings to review schedules date management load readiness and necessary changes; ensure updates are communicated to affected teams.
  • Conduct weekly meetings with Sales to communicate current lead times and address potential customer or order issues.
  • Monitor and create needed restocks for customer-held inventory to maintain established minimum inventory requirements.
  • Track untreated inventory levels and upcoming wood needs to support timely material arrivals and continuity of production schedules.
  • Create and maintain kiln and framing schedules aligned with customer order requirements and production priorities.
  • Provide LumberTrack support and issue resolution helping maintain accurate and timely production and inventory information in the system.
  • Support the local operational team attend Tier meetings and assist with metric tracking review and follow-up actions.

Qualifications:

Education:High school diploma or equivalent is required. Community college or technical coursework is preferred.

Experience:Prior experience in production scheduling inventory control logistics yard/plant operations or a related manufacturing environment is preferred.
