Job Description:
Production Planning B supports manufacturing operations through material coordination and status tracking activities that help ensure the timely flow of materials and manufacturing orders through the production process. Responsibilities include reviewing daily production plans maintaining accurate transactions and coordinating with cross-functional teams to support schedule execution and operational objectives. This is a developing support role that applies established procedures and standard practices to complete routine assignments under general supervision. The individual is expected to build job knowledge and planning skills while supporting team goals and maintaining accurate data. The role works with internal stakeholders including manufacturing supply chain engineering quality and program teams to gather information communicate status and help resolve routine material-related issues. Success in this role requires attention to detail organization follow-through and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a production environment.
Essential Functions:
- Coordinate with planning manufacturing supply chain engineering quality and program teams to support production needs.
- Monitor manufacturing order status production schedules and material on the manufacturing floor to support on-time execution.
- Update planning systems spreadsheets and reports to ensure timely and accurate information is available to the organization.
- Support continuous adherence to established processes quality requirements and organizational procedures.
- Ability to obtain a US security clearance.
Qualifications:
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail organization and time management.
Ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel Outlook and other standard business tools.
Experience with ERP or planning systems such as Costpoint preferred.
Experience with data management reporting and transaction processing preferred.
Ability to read and interpret Bills of Material and production-related requirements.
Ability to use business systems spreadsheets and reporting tools to maintain accurate data and status
