Production Manager

• Set production measures and requirements based upon his review of both the estimated man hours and shop drawings.
• Manages man-hour usage in accordance with an established budget.
• Production Manager must convey to the Engineering Manager priority of releases to the shop to coincide with committed dates and insure production continuity.
• Follows up to assure that materials arrive in time to meet our commitments.
• Assures all completed products meet the quality standards set forth by the Company.
• Ensure all employees are properly trained and follow up procedures are established.
• Limit mistake factor in shop personnel through awareness and training techniques.
• Establishes updated processes and procedures to increase productivity.
• Makes recommendations regarding new and current technologies within the manufacturing industry so as to constantly keep us in the forefront.
• Assures cleanliness of the shop inside and out and stock levels are maintained.
• Assures service equipment is in good working condition and well maintained.
• Ensure that employee evaluations are completed and kept current.
• Have a strong grasp of AWI standards; strong understanding of raw materials and fabrication methods.
• Meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a deadline orientated environment.
• Maintain work area organized and orderly ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
• Must possess a valid drivers license with an acceptable driving record.

• Minimum of 5 years Millwork/Casework experience is transferable experience in a related trade may also be considered.
• Comfortable learning and using new software and technology
• Prior experience with an ERP system INNERGY preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
• Minimum of 5 years Millwork/Casework experience is preferred.
• Previous supervision/leadership of 50 or more employees is preferred

Job Details

• Salary: $90000 to $120000salary commensurate upon experience. Bonus Eligible.
• Job Type: Full Time. Shift Typically Mon- Fri 40 Hours(Additional hours as needed).

  • Lifting - Employee may be required to lift weights up to 50 the event a load weighs more than 50 pounds team members are required to seek assistance from another team member before lifting and use proper lifting techniques;
  • Push/Pulling Push material of various sizes and weights;
  • Stand/Walking Must be able to stand approximately 100% of the work shift;
  • Reaching - reach up to heights of 60 inches to position and retrieve needed materials;

• Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job the employee will work in an office environment (in a cubicle and/or office) and will also be exposed to moving machinery in a temperature-controlled environment and includes exposure to contaminants (mainly dust). Noise level: low to high (appropriate PPE is provided to all employees).
