PRODUCTION ENGINEER

Responsibilities
Production Engineering:

• Generate project specific submittals for customer support
• Create Bills Of Materials including parent and child part codes
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations standards and environmentalrequirements.
• Monitor production progress and provide necessary assistance to address any issues with the interpretation of drawings.
  

Cost Estimation:

• Validate the existence of equipment capabilities material availability andnecessary skill sets to manufacture the project
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for production projects including labormaterials and overhead costs.
• Analyze project specifications drawings and other documentation to createaccurate estimates.
• Review and adjust estimates based on project changes and updates.

Qualifications (education experience skills)

• B.S. Degree in Manufacturing Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
• 0-3 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Familiarity with basic engineering principles and strong mathematical ability; solid
• understanding of geometry and trigonometry is required.
• Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office Suite isrequired.
• Working knowledge in computer aided design/drawing software suchas SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD is required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail oriented and analytical.
• Quick learner and self-motivated; possess ability to promptly accomplish taskswith minimal supervision.
• Familiarity with AWWA specifications ASTM standards and/or ASME boiler &pressure vessel code as relevant to the piping and coupling industry would bebeneficial.
• Should possess a general knowledge of steel fabrication techniques andproperties of materials.
• Familiarity with database management would be beneficial.
