Production Control (PC) Manager

Qualification Educational / Work Experience

  • A Bachelors degree in engineering business administration or a related field (or) Associates degree with extensive experience
  • 5 years of work experience as Production Control or Inventory Control Manager
  • Proficiency in ERP systems MRP and data analysis

  • Strong interpersonal communication organizational and leadership skills along with ability to work in high pace work environment.
  • Forklift experience is a plus

Job Description

  • Responsible for supply chain for the plant. Work with suppliers production managers purchasing production planners I/T sales and other appropriate resources to strategically plan and coordinate the flow of materials and information from customers through procurement to delivery.
  • In-charge of inventory control and management of bought in components intermediate work in progress and finished goods. Leader to achieve the Days on Hand Inventory KPI target.
  • Lead and manage all production control personnel that includes salaried and hourly staff
  • Monitor shipping/receiving performance and investigate discrepancies to resolve/eliminate process deficiencies

  • Department management and target achievement. Create department policy activity plan to improve efficiency of deliverables prepare fiscal year expense capital and labor budget for the PC department.
  • Must be able to work well with cross functional teams and supporters
  • Actively support and implement lean principles
  • Benchmark world class supplier management systems and implement best practices
  • Provide professional development for all PC team members. Explain and support company policies and procedures
  • In-charge of maintaining the warehouse (receiving and shipping) based on companys production system principles and standards
  • Must be willing to work off shift and overtime as needed
  • Must be willing to travel if needed for training
