Job Description Summary

Dauch (formerly known as GKN) is seeking a 2nd shift assembly associate for our Bowling Green Manufacturing Facility. This role involves performing various assembly operations to produce driveline components and systems according to specifications and quality standards within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Job Description:

  • Execute manual and automated assembly tasks for driveline components and sub-assemblies.
  • Operate and monitor assembly equipment machinery and tools safely and efficiently.
  • Read and interpret blueprints work instructions and production schedules.
  • Inspect parts and assemblies for quality defects and conformance to specifications following all proper gaging techniques.
  • Document production data including quantities scrap and downtime.
  • Identify and report equipment malfunctions or production issues to supervisors.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation in accordance with 5S principles.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and team meetings.
  • Work effectively as part of a team to meet production goals.

Required Skills and Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
  • Must be able to work the designated 2nd shift hours (2:00pm - 10:30pm).
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand technical documents and work instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 12 hours) and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Capable of lifting up to 35 lbs regularly.
