Dauch (formerly known as GKN) is seeking a 2nd shift assembly associate for our Bowling Green Manufacturing Facility. This role involves performing various assembly operations to produce driveline components and systems according to specifications and quality standards within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Job Description:
- Execute manual and automated assembly tasks for driveline components and sub-assemblies.
- Operate and monitor assembly equipment machinery and tools safely and efficiently.
- Read and interpret blueprints work instructions and production schedules.
- Inspect parts and assemblies for quality defects and conformance to specifications following all proper gaging techniques.
- Document production data including quantities scrap and downtime.
- Identify and report equipment malfunctions or production issues to supervisors.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation in accordance with 5S principles.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and team meetings.
- Work effectively as part of a team to meet production goals.
Required Skills and Education
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
- Must be able to work the designated 2nd shift hours (2:00pm - 10:30pm).
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment preferred.
- Ability to read and understand technical documents and work instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 12 hours) and perform repetitive tasks.
- Capable of lifting up to 35 lbs regularly.
