Product Development Engineer Power Supply System Calibration position offered by Ford Motor Company (Dearborn MI). Develop electrical charging system calibration in the powertrain control module for gas engines EVs and Hybrids (Low voltage side) including developing calibration for alternator control torque manager engine idle stability for electrical transients alternator voltage set point controls and alternator diagnostics. Release the calibration into Ford system software. Support powertrain development trips for engine calibration by modifying alternator calibration to assist in meeting engine performance requirements.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering Automotive Engineering or a related Engineering field
- 3 years of experience in Product Development preferably in Calibration
- Experience performing electrical control system calibration in the automotive industry using ATI vision and INCA
- Experience gathering vehicle CAN and LIN network data using Vector CANalyzer and Intrepid tools
- Knowledge of CAN/CAN-FD AUTOSAR and Cyber securities
- Familiar with CANalyzer and CANoe tool for testing and CAPL script for field debugging
- Familiar with Matlab modeling code generation debugging and model testing
- Experience may be but need not be acquired concurrently
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering Automotive Engineering or a related Engineering field
- Proficiency with modeling tools(ex. Matlab Simulink)

This position is a range salary grades 6-8 and ranges from $74300-$166200.
Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidates skills and experience and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope responsibility and competitive market value.
