Procurement Specialist

The Procurement Specialist is responsible for working directly with approved suppliers to purchase various items or materials (raw materials MRO semifabricated parts office supplies packaging materials services and finished product for resale) supplied from requisitions and/or master scheduling information. This position will also perform a root cause analysis of supply issues and make recommendations to resolve.1. WorkdirectlywithsuppliersasthefaceoftheCompanytopurchase finishedgoods andensurethatsuppliers on finished goods and initiateordersasneededtomaintainappropriate and maintain purchase orders for all assigned products from order placement through product delivery. Including updating delivery dates cost and reconciling receiving and invoice including root cause analysis of supply issues and recommended regularcoreteammeetingsasassigned providing guidance and expertise based on product shortages as needed to maintain inventory levels.7. Develop strong internal and external Supplier work10. Perform other duties as required within the nature and level of Degree in supply chain and one (1) year of related experience are required. APICS (American Production and Inventory Control Society)/CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional) certification preferred. MRP (material requirements planning) knowledge is preferred. Familiarity with manufacturing pull systems inventory and production control and reading blueprints and bill of materials is a possess a strong analytical and reasoning ability. Must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the company and suppliers. Proficient in Microsoft Office Demand RequirementsOccasionally required to stand walk or sit; use hands to finger handle or feel objects tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop kneel crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds.
