What Youll Be Doing as a Process Engineering Technician 1:

Contributes to basic production problem-solving process improvement process control process implementation and quality assurance in designated manufacturing areas. As assigned develops writes and/or tests manufacturing processes tooling requirements and other manufacturing needs under the direction of Manufacturing Engineers or Supervisory personnel.

Responsibilities as a Process Engineering Technician 1:

• Documents controls and maintains basic manufacturing work instructions and other support documentation materials
• Assists in troubleshooting and analysis of basic parts process and tooling issues in manufacturing and assembly
• Assists higher level technicians in evaluation follow-up and verification of new and existing tooling and fixturing needs in manufacturing
• Analyzes and implements basic and repetitive Document Change Orders (DCOs) internal/external audits and training programs. Assists in more basic analysis and implementations
• Assists in cost/benefit analysis and reporting as assigned on specific well-defined projects
• Applies Lean manufacturing practices in process development
• Maintains safe work environment and employs ergonomically safe practices into manufacturing processes
• Performs other duties as assigned

Skills and Experiences Youll Need as a Process Engineering Technician 1:

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 2 years of work-related experience in basic machining operations assembly or quality assurance processes and procedures. Drafting and CAD practices preferred
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
• Able to use computer software tools for effective design/process analysis and presentations
• Requires a basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing techniques
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Performs tasks with high degree of accuracy
• Knowledge and use of appropriate safety and personal protective equipment required
• May be required to operate light tools and basic machinery such as lathes mills and other machine shop equipment

Work Environment for a Process Engineering Technician 1:

Normal office environment with occasional travel and frequent exposure to manufacturing operations.
