Dynacraft Division

Dynacraft a PACCAR Company strives to be the premier supplier in product quality on-time delivery and pre-production support to PACCARs Kenworth and Peterbilt truck divisions and PACCAR Parts. The Dynacraft Process Engineer reports to the Continuous Improvement Manager and is responsible for assisting in the development of the strategic direction for the Plant in support of Dynacrafts vision and goals as well as supporting the Truck Plants and Aftermarket Customer Process Engineer role will be in McKinney Texas and is responsible for the study analysis development and documentation of the plant assembly processes. The job also includes assistance with continuous improvement efforts focusing on departmental safety and quality improvement projects ergonomic improvement projects line balance optimization and improvements in overall departmental efficiency.

The job also includes assistance with continuous improvement efforts focusing on departmental safety and quality improvement projects ergonomic improvement projects line balance optimization and improvements in overall departmental efficiency.

Job Responsibilities

  • Study and analyze plant assembly processes with recommendations for improvement.
  • Develop document and maintain plant assembly processes including JBS SWI OPL Kaizen and other process documents.
  • Eliminate production/distribution roadblocks and audit processes against Standard Work.
  • Monitor tooling/equipment fitness for use and track 8D progress and Root Cause Analysis.
  • Maintain departmental training matrix and improve training levels.
  • Conduct process and product audits and document results.
  • Assist in maintenance of software programs (Visual Factory EWI etc.).
  • Manage new and replacement equipment tooling including run-off sampling and testing.
  • Monitor and track scrap by department and establish elimination plans.
  • Introduce new manufacturing processes and recommend cycle time reductions and cost savings.
  • Participate in FMEA PCP and PFMEA reviews.
  • Drive cross-functional continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Recommend process changes to improve safety productivity and quality.
  • Support corrective actions for internal and external defects and track defect metrics.
  • Support new processes including EV DV QV and VV builds.
  • Support Engineering Change Notifications.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Education

  • Associates detree required.
  • Bachelors degree preferred

Qualifications

  • Must be able to operate independently with little guidance while being a positive contributor to a team environment.
  • Must have excellent verbal written and presentation communication skills.
  • Must lead by example and have a proven record of excellence in attendance dependability and safety.
  • Must be self-motivated well organized flexible and able to handle the pressure of a high-volume operation.
  • Computer literacy is required with a familiarity of MS Outlook PowerPoint Word and Excel.
  • A minimum of two (2) years manufacturing and/or distribution experience is preferred.
  • Demonstrate understanding of Lean and Six Sigma concepts and techniques.
  • Level four (4) trained preferred.
  • Demonstrate understanding of root cause and corrective action tools/methods.
  • Experience with SAP/RF/Operations preferred.
