PRN Registered Nurse PACU (RN)

As a PACU Registered Nurse youll play a vital role in helping patients recover safely and comfortably following surgical procedures delivering compassionate high-quality care during some of their most vulnerable moments.

As a PACU RN you will:

• Monitor and assess patients recovering from anesthesia and surgical procedures
• Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition using sound clinical judgment
• Deliver individualized evidence-based nursing care
• Collaborate with surgeons anesthesia providers and interdisciplinary team members to ensure positive patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families regarding post-operative recovery and discharge instructions
• Coordinate care plans and advocate for patients throughout the recovery process
• Supervise and support care provided by ancillary staff as appropriate

• Work alongside a highly skilled and supportive surgical services team
• Care for patients in a specialized Womens Hospital setting
• Utilize advanced nursing skills in a fast-paced and rewarding environment

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Indiana or a compact licensure state
• Strong assessment critical thinking and communication skills
• Commitment to providing compassionate patient-centered care

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Previous PACU post-anesthesia critical care or surgical nursing experience
