Key Responsibilities

• Lead architecture review board reviews and provide architectural guidance for enterprise technology initiatives.

• Partner with application infrastructure security cloud and operations teams to evaluate solution designs and technology decisions.

• Identify architectural operational security and supportability risks and provide recommendations for mitigation.

• Consult with project teams throughout the solution lifecycle from initial design through implementation and operational transition.

• Develop and maintain technology standards architectural patterns and governance processes.

• Evaluate emerging technologies and provide recommendations on adoption and enterprise fit.

• Review proposed architectures for scalability reliability maintainability and alignment with enterprise objectives.

• Build strong partnerships with technical and business stakeholders and serve as a trusted advisor on technology decisions.

• Prepare and present architectural recommendations readiness assessments and governance findings to leadership and governance forums.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Information Technology Computer Science Engineering or equivalent experience.

• 10 years of experience in enterprise architecture solution architecture engineering infrastructure or related technology roles.

• Experience leading architecture reviews and guiding technical decision-making across diverse technology domains.

• Strong understanding of application architecture cloud platforms integrations security infrastructure and operational support models.

• Experience working directly with delivery teams engineering teams and technology leadership.

• Demonstrated ability to influence decisions and drive consensus across technical and business stakeholders.

• Excellent communication facilitation and presentation skills.

• Ability to balance governance requirements with practical delivery needs.

• Demonstrated hands-on experience with emerging AI technologies and ability to apply them to real-world challenges

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience participating in or leading architecture review boards or similar governance processes.

• Experience supporting production readiness operational readiness deployment governance or service transition activities.

• Experience with cloud platforms DevOps practices enterprise integrations and observability/monitoring solutions.

• Experience in large complex enterprise environments especially healthcare or medical distribution

• Experience with large-scale distribution supply chain logistics fulfillment or e-commerce platforms.

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform Kubernetes IaC/Terraform

• Knowledge of IT operational processes including incident change problem and service management.

• Experience creating technology standards reference architectures and architectural guidance.

• Experience working within regulated or highly governed environments.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKessons pay philosophy and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations.
