Job Summary

To deliver these complex solutions as the Sr Program Manager you will partner with peers across multiple Leo teams including hardware software supply chain and manufacturing.
This role includes direct responsibility for program management of various engineering work-streams under manufacturing system integration and production test systems. This is a highly technical role requiring experience with software systems data and metrics reporting while tracking multiple senior leadership level goals.
Candidate superpowers should include stakeholder management ownership coordinating across multiple cross-functional teams dealing with many unknowns and ambiguities.
Key job responsibilities
- Own the roadmap and tracking of various engineering work-streams - tools and frameworks tests systems and test optimization that span end-to-end from contract manufacturers to Leo factory locations.
- Establish the linkage between production roadmap and goals to team level work-streams for progress measurement monitoring and risk mitigation.
- Represent overall impact of systems and solutions delivered to yield speed manufacturability cost stability and trust.
- Translate strategic goals into actionable plans for specific projects and operations.
- Understand dependencies among multiple cross functional teams and their roadmaps synchronize milestones identify constraints and necessary ways to unblock delivery.
- Create programs and outreach communications for successful rollout of various solutions
- Drive executive communication cadence and deliver artifacts that provide insight into the activities accomplishments challenges and risks of operations to senior leadership.
- Measure analyze improve and control KPIs across all aspects of the operation.
- Work with software and analytics teams to develop reporting tools and applications that support operating rhythms
- Advices production directors and sr. managers on technology and execution decisions and ensure effective communication of changes and improvements across the organization.
A day in the life
This role will be highly collaborative requiring partnerships with cross-functional production stakeholders to drive positive results. This role requires the ability to advocate solutions built for our customers and an ability to influence decisions through trusted relationships.
This role will involve managing roadmap of solutions built by the manufacturing systems engineering team and onboarding customers in production operations teams spread across Redmond and Kirkland WA. A typical day for this role will be working directly with multiple satellite component teams. Communication skills are crucial as they interact with various stakeholders including internal teams. The role requires strong leadership to motivate and coordinate teams towards achieving project goals while maintaining a focus on quality efficiency and adherence to timelines.
This role will tackle challenging novel situations every day and have the opportunity to work with multiple technical teams at Amazon in different locations. You should be comfortable with a high degree of ambiguity and relish the idea of solving problems that havent been solved at scale before.
About the team
Project Leo is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world. To deliver these complex solutions manufacturing systems engineering team is building shop floor operations software hardware testing frameworks satellite hardware & software testing lab data analytics and AI solutions for various production operations and efficiency needs.
- 7 years of technical product or program management experience
- 10 years of working directly with engineering teams experience

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
