• Identifying designing and implementing enterprise-grade device management solutions including complex software packaging deployment methodologies and configuration standardization within SCCM.
• Serving as the technical lead for ongoing and future projects related to the full lifecycle management and strategic direction of supported endpoint devices.
• Leading automation strategy planning and development efforts to significantly improve efficiency consistency and scalability across endpoint device management processes.
• Providing advanced support for Universal Workstation Build users including internal teams and separately elected IT groups ensuring consistent reliable deployment aligned with enterprise standards.
• Guiding the evaluation adoption and operational management of new and emerging technologies in the endpoint management space ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Supporting the formulation and execution of the overall endpoint compute strategy influencing long-term architectural planning and modernization initiatives.
• Participating in ARB (Architecture Review Board) meetings as needed.
• Expanding communication and coordination with separately elected IT staff to ensure alignment consistency and strong cross-organization technology partnerships.
• Developing protocols and standardized processes for software lifecycle management within the SCCM environment improving governance and operational reliability.
• Conducting analysis and contributing to the modernization of patch management product lines to enhance security performance and compliance.
• Coordinating with Information Security Risk and Compliance on vulnerability management efforts for Executive Departments ensuring remediation plans are aligned with organizational security requirements and timelines.
  

• At least 7 years of demonstrated experience providing workstation support end user support troubleshooting computer equipment resolving end user applications and troubleshooting network connectivity issues.
• At least 7 years of demonstrated experience providing support for recent Microsoft Operating Systems and Microsoft Office Suites (E.g. Windows 7 10 11 & Office)
• Demonstrated experience in a technical lead role.
• Highly skilled in identifying objectives and key results (OKRs) helping teams and organizations set clear measurable goals that drive success.
• Experience with taking the lead on setting the direction and ensuring alignment across various stakeholders guiding initiatives toward tangible outcomes. Must be assertive and confident in making decisions and advocating for necessary changes or improvements to stay on track.
• Proficient in gathering requirements working closely with participants to understand needs and translate them into actionable plans. Their ability to balance leadership with clear communication ensures that projects remain focused on target and results driven.
• Advanced knowledge of the SCCM environment security and stand-alone automation.
• Experienced in addressing customer escalations identifying customer needs facilitating communications and resolving escalations within the workstation space.
• Experience participating in formal project teams and acting as technical liaison.
• Skilled with diagnostic tools logs command line and scripting tools used to troubleshoot problems associated with network connectivity and workstation hardware or software.
• Skilled at addressing security issues and utilizing appropriate tools.
• Experience supporting enterprise collaboration tools (Microsoft Teams Zoom etc.)
• Experience working with an IT service management tools.
• Experience with building/imaging computer hardware utilizing SCCM and Microsoft Endpoint Manager.
• Experienced with application packaging and deployment methodologies through SCCM including troubleshooting processes.
• Experienced with creation of application deployments managing collections and other advanced functions within SCCM.
• Extensive knowledge of local area networks and related systems hardware and software installation and configuration and systems integration VPN network connectivity issues.
• Extensive knowledge of level 1 cloud-based technologies such as OneDrive SharePoint etc.
• Extensive experience troubleshooting researching and analyzing uncommon problems.
• Experienced with mobile device management tools and best practices.
• Ability to establish and maintain exceptional customer relationships.
• Exceptionally positive attitude towards peers and leadership learns from mistakes seeks feedback is open to criticism and is easily coachable.
• Ability to communicate orally or in writing; including the ability to communicate complex technical information to anon-technical audience.
• Skill in handling multiple competing priorities.
• Skilled in writing and in editing technical documentation.
• Successful completion of criminal background check and fingerprinting (CJIS certification is required)
• Understanding of Equity and Social Justice principles

• Understanding of ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) process
• Microsoft Technology Expert Certifications or industry equivalent
• Bachelors degree in computer science or related field

Hybrid Work: KCIT works in a hybrid model with days in the office as well as telecommuting. The ratio of remote to onsite work will be dependent on business needs and is subject to change. The primary onsite location is the King Street Center 201 S Jackson St Seattle WA 98104.

Employees must reside in Washington state and within a reasonable distance to their King County worksite to respond to workplace reporting requirements.

King County has a robust collection of tools and resources to support working remotely. The individual selected for this opportunity will join an innovative and progressive team that is redefining how we work as we transition to the departments hybrid environment. Employees will be provided with a County-issued laptop and must maintain a home workspace with an internet connection where they can reliably perform work and remain available and responsive during scheduled work hours.

Work Schedule:The normal workweek for this position is Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Alternative schedules may be considered by your manager.

FLSA Status: This position is FLSA Exempt and is not eligible for overtime pay.
