Principal Engineer – Enterprise Cloud Security

Location: Pleasanton CA Area (Primarily Remote Regular onsite collaboration required)

STAFFXPERT LLC is seeking a Principal Engineer Enterprise Cloud Security on behalf of our client in Pleasanton CA. We are looking for a highly experienced cloud security leader with deep expertise in enterprise-scale security transformations secure access modernization and Zero Trust implementation. This role is ideal for a hands-on principal engineer with extensive experience driving complex cloud security initiatives modernizing enterprise network access and leading large-scale security platform deployments in global environments.

The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in enterprise cloud security architecture secure remote access transformation and infrastructure modernization while partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless implementation with minimal business disruption.

• Lead the architecture design and deployment of enterprise cloud security solutions across large-scale environments
• Drive secure remote access transformation and modernization initiatives within complex enterprise ecosystems
• Lead large-scale migration and infrastructure transformation efforts with minimal operational disruption
• Collaborate across global teams business stakeholders and engineering functions to ensure successful delivery
• Provide technical leadership governance and best-practice guidance throughout project execution
• Ensure security compliance performance and operational stability across enterprise environments
• Mentor engineering teams and contribute to enterprise security standards frameworks and architectural direction
• Evaluate and implement modern security strategies aligned with Zero Trust principles

• 12 years of experience in enterprise cloud security engineering and architecture
• Strong hands-on expertise implementing enterprise-scale secure access and cloud security solutions
• Experience leading complex security transformation and infrastructure modernization programs
• Deep understanding of Zero Trust Architecture and modern enterprise security frameworks
• Proven ability to manage large-scale technical migration projects across global organizations
• Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration experience
• Principal-level leadership experience with mentoring and establishing technical standards and best practices
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities in enterprise environments

• Experience working within large enterprise environments supporting global infrastructure
• Strong background in cloud security modernization and secure network transformation initiatives
• Ability to navigate highly technical environments while aligning with business objectives

• Candidates must be local to the Pleasanton CA area and available for regular onsite collaboration as needed
• Strong communication and leadership skills are essential for success in this role
