Job Description

The Pricing Analyst is responsible for the strategic execution analysis and ongoing management of pricing across Odoms supplier portfolios and operating companies. This role supports pricing accuracy margin integrity and the consistent application of pricing strategies across markets. The analyst partners cross-functionally with suppliers Sales Operations Accounting Revenue Management and Pricing leadership to turn complex pricing data into business recommendations support profitable growth and improve pricing systems and processes.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Lead and manage assigned supplier portfolios and pricing activities to support margin and gross profit objectives across all divisions and operating companies.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Pricing Revenue Management Sales Operations and suppliers to ensure effective execution of pricing strategies and consistent market pricing that supports revenue and profitability goals.
  • Design maintain and continuously improve pricing models analytical tools and databases to support accurate dataâdriven pricing decisions.
  • Apply advanced analytical expertise in pricing analysis market research and financial modeling to support strategic and operational pricing initiatives.
  • Conduct ongoing and ad hoc pricing analyses including price elasticity competitive benchmarking product and pricing segmentation and lift analysis.
  • Evaluate product cost structures to validate accuracy and proactively identify risks or discrepancies impacting margin and gross profit performance.
  • Interpret complex pricing and performance data and provide clear recommendations to support SKU profitability assortment strategy and product mix decisions.
  • Communicate pricing insights risks and opportunities effectively to leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Proactively monitor margin performance and identify opportunities to improve profitability and pricing effectiveness.
  • Demonstrate strong problemâsolving prioritization and multitasking capabilities while managing a high volume of daily pricing requests and email communications.
  • Maintain working knowledge of company pricing policies and applicable state and federal pricing regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and help develop efficient scalable pricing practices.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned in support of Pricing team objectives and department initiatives.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelors degree in Finance Economics Business Analytics or a related field preferred; an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Experience in pricing analytics beverage alcohol consumer packaged goods (CPG) wholesale distribution or a related industry preferred.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Sales Operations Accounting Revenue Management and supplier partners.

Analytical & Technical Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret large complex datasets and translate findings into practical business recommendations.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel including financial modeling data analysis and reporting.
  • Experience working with large datasets business systems and data management processes to support pricing accuracy and operational efficiency.
  • Experience analyzing pricing cost margin and profitability data to support strategic and operational decision-making.
  • Ability to identify trends variances and risks through data analysis and recommend appropriate actions.
  • Experience developing and maintaining analytical models reports and dashboards to support pricing objectives.
  • Experience working with ERP systems pricing systems reporting tools and data management processes.
  • Ability to validate data accuracy investigate discrepancies and maintain data integrity across multiple systems.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong business acumen with an understanding of how pricing decisions impact profitability revenue growth and customer relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence decision-making through data-driven recommendations and sound business judgment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships and collaborate across departments and supplier organizations.
