Prep Cook

POSITION SUMMARY:

Do you want to be part of an Authentic Award-Winning and Legendary BBQ Team Do you want to develop the skills of a Famous Pit MasterWe are looking for team players who have the desire to learn about our in-house smoked made from scratch recipes and wants to serve up Famous Food! Youll also make sure that food safety standards are followed. Famous Daves expects you to be punctual to support your fellow Team Members when we are smokin busy and complete side duties that include but may not be limited to preparing food monitor ticket times and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepares all menu items according to Famous Daves Recipes Plate Presentations and specifications
• Operate large-volume cooking equipment such as grills deep-fat fryers smokers ovens stoves and dishwashers
• Maintain product presentations product quality and cook time standards
• Practice sanitary and safe food handling at all times
• Clean as you go
• Completes assigned daily and weekly cleaning projects

Qualifications and Skills:

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
• Previous Prep Cook or cooking experience preferred
• Capable of using knives slicing equipment and other food preparation equipment
• Reading writing and verbal communication skills required. Must be able to communicate effectively with other kitchen staff

Physical Demands:

• Ability to place plates utensils pans and cases on high and low shelves
• Mobility required during the entire shift
• Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for periods of up to eight (8) hours in length
• Must be able to lift carry push pull up to 50lbs
• Consistently handle product preparation
