Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Machine Operator to join our Pre Fabrication this role you will be responsible for handling raw materials and operating various machines (Plasma cutter Water Jet Saws Shears Press Brake Punch Press Roller or similar machines) to create finished parts according to blueprints. Your work will directly support our welding group ensuring a smooth and safe workflow. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of our dynamic team and contribute to our manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities
- Operate multiple machines to produce finished parts as per blueprints.
- Ensure a steady supply of raw materials for the welding group.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment adhering to all safety protocols.
- Perform regular maintenance and cleaning of machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with the welding team to understand their requirements and adjust production accordingly.
- Monitor and control the quality of finished parts ensuring they meet specified standards.
- Keep accurate records of production data and report any issues or deviations.
- Assist in training new operators and sharing best practices.
- Work closely with the maintenance team to address any machinery-related concerns.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a machine operating role preferably in a fabrication or manufacturing setting.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- The ability to read and interpret multiple measuring devices. (Tape Measure Calipers and possibly micrometers)
- Knowledge of basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting techniques.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to lift and move heavy materials as needed up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand/stoop/sit for 8 hours
- Ability to pass a Physical Exam
- Good communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
- Willingness to undergo training and adapt to new technologies.
