Position Specific Description

The Power Generation (PGD) Technical Services Specialist supports Renewable Central Maintenance by managing the planning development and coordination of haul routes and civil logistics for major wind component replacements. This role oversees GIS data management road modification tracking and route validation to ensure accurate and accessible information for planners and field teams. This individual delivers routing recommendations and detailed planning packages across the full lifecycle of route execution from initial survey coordination through final route approval. The role also encompasses landowner and permitting support including agreement tracking and regulatory compliance with State and County DOT requirements. Working cross-functionally with maintenance planners civil teams vendors survey teams and landowner representatives the PGD Technical Services Specialist ensures that major component transportation activities are carried out safely and efficiently while driving continuous improvement in route planning processes and engineering documentation across the organization.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Provides full-time technical support to the operations and business unit personnel
  • Performs system testing and documentation to critical systems during significant changes and/or upgrade
  • Analyzes and identifies the root cause of - and implements comprehensive technical solutions to - complex application deficiencies and system issues
  • Provides technical leadership in the functional specification design and implementation of new (as well as enhancements to existing) security center applications and tools
  • Develops new (and improves existing) processes with goal of increasing productivity reducing risk of system failure promoting efficiency in work flow and meeting or exceeding the key operational performance targets
  • Establishes documents and maintains procedures and guidelines related to the day-to-day operational support provided to the operations and business unit personnel
  • Travels to power plants for onsite troubleshooting support
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned
