POSITION SPECIFICS

The Pritchard Lab in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the Pennsylvania State University is seeking to fill a Postdoctoral Scholar position. The scholar will lead in vivo mouse studies at the interface of evolution synthetic biology and targeted therapy supporting an NIH-funded program (5 year grant) that develops selection gene drives a regulated gene therapy that partners with standard-of-care targeted therapies to overcome drug resistance. The successful candidate will design and execute efficacy and safety studies across cell line-derived xenograft (CDX) orthotopic patient-derived xenograft (PDX) and immune-competent syngeneic models including intravenous vector delivery in vivo imaging (IVIS micro-CT) and pharmacokinetic pharmacodynamic and toxicology cohorts.

Qualified individuals will hold a Ph.D. by the time of appointment in Biomedical Engineering or a related scientific field and will have extensive hands-on experience with mouse tumor models and in vivo techniques including IP IV and SC injections oral gavage as well as modern molecular biology.
