Poolside Server | AMA | Part-Time

You are an ambassador for the exceptional service and cuisine that are hallmarks of our food & beverage experience. As a Server at AMA Bar & Grill - Poolside your warm personal attention and knowledge of our outstanding offerings will make guests feel unique and valued in a relaxed outdoor and social atmosphere.  

Hourly:  $16.00

What you will be doing:

• Confirm station assignment
• Complete daily opening checklist and duties assigned
• Have full knowledge of all menu items garnishes contents and preparation methods
• Maintain atmosphere of aloha spirit by providing engaging personalized timely and efficient service to our discerning guests
• Focus attention on guest needs remaining calm and courteous at all times

Schedule:  Due to the nature of the hospitality industry employees are required to work varying schedules including weekends and holidays to accommodate the business and demands of the hotel. 

Qualifications :

Your experience and skills include:

• Minimum 2 years serving experience in high volume upscale full service restaurant preferred
• Previous fine dining experience and wine knowledge is an asset
• Ability to focus attention on guest needs remaining calm and courteous at all times
• Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
• Ability to work cohesively and collaboratively as part of a team

Certifications and Licenses:

• TB Clearance required
• Maui County Liquor Card required
• Hawaii Food Safety Certification  required

Education:

• High School diploma (or equivalent) and/or vocational training
• Degree in Hospitality or Tourism is an asset

Your working environment:

• Work tasks are performed outdoors where conditions vary throughout the year
• Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs.
• Must be able to push and pull 50 lbs.
• Constant standing walking and reaching
• Frequent lifting/carrying pushing and pulling
• Occasional crouching bending stooping and kneeling
• Requires grasping writing repetitive motions listening hearing and visual acuity
