Platemaker

The flexo platemaker retrieves imaging files from the production server as required to fulfill requirements for production plate orders and verifies all job information to ensure that the correct plates will be made.

The plate maker is also required to trim finish quality assure pack and ship plates upon completion. Duties also include solvent recovery waste handling and preventive maintenance. Administrative duties include material and time data keeping equipment preventive maintenance logs inventories and quality records.

Note schedules hiring are Midnight to 8am and 4pm to Midnight.  This will include a shift differential.  

Qualifications :

Requirements:

• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Ability to work under pressure handling multiple tasks in a fast paced deadline driven environment
• Must be able to work in a team environment
• Must be willing to work assigned shifts as needs of business change
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with and experience in the graphic arts
• Experience in plate making with working knowledge of flexographic plate systems especially Kodak Thermoflex and Esko CDI imagers
• Experience with Esko Kongsberg cutting table XPS exposure technology and Device Manager software are plusses.

Additional Information :

The salary range for this role at the noted RRD location is $23.32 - $34.09 / hour. Starting pay decisions are determined based on multiple factors including but not limited to relevant education qualifications skills experience certifications proficiency performance shift location and other business needs. Typically roles follow step progressions to a target rate or set increments over time. Depending on the role in addition to the hourly rate of pay the total compensation package may also include overtime shift differential call-in and/or stand-by pay.
