Plasma Machine Operator

TMD Staffing is looking to hire Plasma Machine Operator in the South Area 77047

WORK ENVIRONMENT

In-person

Key Responsibilities

Operate CNC plasma cutting machines safely and efficiently.

Interpret engineering drawings work orders and cutting schedules.

Load steel plates using overhead cranes or forklifts (where licensed).

Set machine parameters including cutting speed amperage gas selection and material thickness.

Import or create CNC cutting programs from CAD/CAM software when required.

Monitor cutting operations to ensure dimensional accuracy and cut quality.

Inspect finished components using measuring equipment and quality control procedures.

Qualifications:

Previous experience operating CNC plasma cutting machinery.

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

Experience measuring components using tape measures calipers and other inspection equipment.

Good understanding of steel fabrication and manufacturing processes.

Basic computer skills for machine operation and production reporting.

Experience with Hypertherm Messer ESAB or similar plasma cutting systems.

Experience using CAD/CAM software

PAY RATE

$24.00 hour

SCHEDULE

Monday-Friday 8:00am - 5:00 pm
