Planned Maintenance Technician

What youll do:

• Youll be based out of our Bridgeport NJservice center and can expect to work in the field with local travel daily in your company vehicle

• Youll have an opportunity to work overtime and weekends and there is a potential for travel

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs of power generators diesel engines electrical distribution equipment Chillers HVAC equipment and/or oil free air compressors

• Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop and on customer locations and handle the repairs

• You will either be out on your own or teamed up with another technician(s) to set up and operate equipment at the shop and on customer sites

You are:

• High School diploma/GED

• 2years of experience working ondiesel power/natural gas generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment chillers performing inspections maintenance and repairs

• Experience with calculating nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements along with reading and knowing schematic

• Based on the customer requirements you may be required to obtain and maintain a TWIC card or valid DOT medical card

• Valid drivers license

• Ability to move or lift objects typically less than 75 lbs.

• Availability to work the assignedschedule travel to work locations (if needed) and be onstandbyfor work outside of regularly scheduledshifts

• Must be able to standwalkand sit for prolonged periods of time; and be able to walk over uneven terrainwith functional balance that does not require any special assistive devices

• Must be able to move the extremities and spine through a functional range of motion that willpermitwork to be safely performed from ground / floor level tofull overhead level

• Must have good finger dexterity to manipulate small itemsfunctional hand-eye coordination andfunctionally grip with adequate strength to safelyhold tools and stair railing or ladders

• Must be able to safely meet the physical demands outlined in the Essential Physical Capacities Assessment and pass the post-offer physical abilities assessment which includes being able to lift (60 lbs) push/pull (80 lbs) carry (60 lbs) climb stairs and ladders as well as a combination of climbing while carrying objects (15 lbs) stoop kneel and squat
