Konik is partnering with a leading water solutions and process technology provider to add a Piping BIM Engineer to their team. This role focuses on 3D piping design and BIM coordination for microelectronics and semiconductor projects supporting construction teams and ensuring that designs align with P&ID requirements standards and fabrication best practices. This is a contract assignment with immediate start reporting to the engineering leadership team.

Piping BIM Engineer Responsibilities

• Develop 3D piping models based on P&ID and project specifications including supports scaffolding and associated systems.
• Perform clash detection and resolve conflicts in collaboration with design engineering and production teams.
• Maintain and update model data including attributes specifications and catalog information.
• Prepare material take-offs bills of materials (BOM) and quantity reports from 3D models.
• Ensure compliance with BIM standards modeling guidelines and project specifications.
• Generate 2D documentation and drawings from 3D models for fabrication and installation purposes.
• Support project coordination on-site as needed to validate design intent and resolve field issues.

Piping BIM Engineer Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in piping design or BIM modeling for construction projects.
• Proficiency with Autodesk Plant 3D Navisworks Manage/Simulate and related BIM tools.
• Knowledge of piping systems supports equipment and fabrication processes.
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with internal and external stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Piping Engineering or related technical field.
• Experience in the construction or industrial process industry.
• Familiarity with process equipment such as rotators heat exchangers tower tanks and welded piping assemblies.
• Experience in progress tracking and visualization using Excel Power BI or similar tools.
• Basic understanding of Japanese technical terminology is a plus.
