Job Summary
Pipe Stress Engineer
Pay range $70-90/hr. Depending on experience and skills match

- Pipe Stress Engineer for piping design and stress analysis.
- Design analysis and documentation of piping systems in industrial and process plants.
- Responsible for 3D modeling pipe stress analysis support design and generation of piping deliverables.
- Perform pipe stress analysis using Caesar II to ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards (ASME B31.1/B31.3).
- Develop and manage 3D piping models using AutoCAD Plant 3D and Autodesk Inventor.
- Design and detail pipe supports and ensure proper integration with structural elements.
- Create and optimize piping layouts for process efficiency safety and maintainability.
- Generate piping isometrics general arrangement drawings and support details.
- Prepare and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM) and Material Take-Offs (MTO).
- Coordinate with process mechanical and structural teams to ensure design consistency.
- Review vendor drawings and ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Participate in design reviews HAZOPs and constructability assessments.
- BS in Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in piping design and stress analysis.
- Proficiency in Caesar II AutoCAD. CADWorx or Plant 3D a plus .
- Experience with piping materials specifications and fabrication practices.
- Strong understanding of piping codes and standards (ASME ANSI API).
- Experience in oil & gas petrochemical or power plant projects preferred .
- Ability to interpret P&IDs piping specs and equipment layouts.
- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
