Position Overview:
RieLes Group is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant (PA) to support Occupational Medicine Services at Hill Air Force Base Utah

The PA will evaluate diagnose and treat patients within the OMS clinic under the direction of the Installation Occupational and Environmental Medicine Consultant (IOEMC) Chief of Medicine (COM) or appointed OMS physician

The position supports occupational health services for federal employees tenant organizations and Active Duty personnel

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate diagnose and treat patients presenting to the Occupational Medicine clinic
  • Provide care for work-related injuries and illnesses
  • Perform occupational and environmental health examinations within assigned privileges
  • Support OSHA expanded-standard physical examinations
  • Conduct appropriate patient histories and physical examinations
  • Review workplace exposure information and occupational health requirements
  • Review laboratory radiology EKG PFT and other examination results
  • Provide appropriate patient education and follow-up recommendations
  • Assist with pre-placement and other occupational examinations.
  • Support fitness-for-duty and work-status evaluations as authorized.
  • Provide occupational health consultation within the scope of training and clinical privileges
  • Document patient care accurately in the applicable electronic health record
  • Collaborate with physicians nurses audiology personnel Public Health Bioenvironmental Engineering and other OMS staff
  • Follow applicable Air Force DoD OSHA HIPAA and Hill AFB requirements

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelors or Masters degree through an accredited Physician Assistant training program
  • At least 12 months of residency/training in Occupational Medicine or documented clinical occupational medicine experience
  • Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
  • Current PA license in any U.S. jurisdiction
  • State controlled-substance registration
  • Federal DEA registration
  • National Provider Identifier (NPI)
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required clinical privileges

Requires that when the PA is the sole provider in the clinic a physician must be available for immediate consultation either in person or telephonically

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Clinical experience in occupational medicine
  • Experience working with occupational health examinations
  • Familiarity with workplace hazards and occupational exposure assessment
  • Experience working with military or federal occupational health programs
  • Familiarity with MHS GENESIS ASIMS and occupational health systems

Credentialing & Security:
  • Completion of required 75th Medical Group credentialing and privileging
  • AF Form 1540 and applicable PA clinical privilege documentation
  • Primary-source verification of professional credentials
  • Required background screening
  • Tier 1 (T1) background investigation and favorable suitability determination
  • Current BLS certification
