Position Details

• Status: Full-time
• WorkShift:Days
• Hours:Monday-Friday 8am-5pm

What Your Day Looks Like:In collaboration with the physical or occupational therapist you will assess plan implement and evaluate physical therapy treatment for patients utilizing equipment supplies and procedures appropriate to the ages of the patients and residents served including infant pediatric adolescent adult and geriatric patient populations.

As aPhysical Therapy Assistant you will be:

• Leading patients through strength balance and mobility exercises
• Providing manual therapies stretching and applying treatments like ultrasound or electrical muscle stimulation
• Communicating with patients and caregivers to provide clear directionson the use of rehabilitativedevices and equipment
• Preparing and sanitizing treatment areas ensuring equipment is set up
• Monitoring and reporting progress and documenting patientcare services with relevant and timely information

Qualifications

• Education:Completion of aPhysical Therapy Assistant program with an AssociatesDegree from an accredited institution
• Skills: Patient care problem-solving customer service and listening skills
• Licensure/Certification:Current Missouri Physical Therapy Assistant Certificate
• Physical Requirements:Prolonged periods of standing and walking ability to lift push and pull up to 50 lbs. with patient and/or equipment assistance ability to carry up to 35 lbs.
