Hours: 35 hours/week guaranteed

We are seeking a compassionate and collaborative Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) for a full school-year contract assignment within the Hermiston school network. The PTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide therapeutic interventions that support student mobility physical development and functional independence in the school environment.

• Provide direct physical therapy interventions according to student IEPs and established treatment plans.
• Implement therapeutic exercises and activities designed to improve mobility strength coordination balance and functional skills.
• Monitor and document student progress and communicate updates to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Collaborate with Physical Therapists teachers special education staff and parents/guardians.
• Assist with positioning mobility and safe participation in school activities.
• Maintain and safely use adaptive equipment assistive devices and mobility tools.
• Follow school and therapy protocols to ensure a safe and supportive environment.

• Active unrestricted Oregon PTA license in good standing.
• PTA experience in a school-based pediatric or rehabilitation setting is preferred.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work effectively with students educators therapists and families.
• Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring visa sponsorship.
