About the Role
We are seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant for a skilled nursing facility opportunity in Monterey California. This role is ideal for a PTA with SNF experience who can support therapy plans assist patients with mobility and functional improvement and work closely with the rehabilitation team to promote quality patient outcomes.
Responsibilities

Provide physical therapy treatment under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist

Assist patients with therapeutic exercises mobility training and functional activities

Support rehabilitation goals in a skilled nursing facility setting

Monitor patient response to treatment and report progress to the Physical Therapist

Help maintain patient safety comfort and proper body mechanics during therapy

Document treatment sessions accurately and timely

Collaborate with nursing therapy and interdisciplinary care team members
Requirements

Active California Physical Therapy Assistant license required

Minimum 1 year PTA experience required

Skilled Nursing Facility experience preferred

NetHealth/Rehab Optima knowledge preferred

Strong communication patient care and documentation skills required

Must be able to work day shift schedule
