Job Summary

Adelphi is seeking a Physical Therapist (PT) to provide direct and consultative physical therapy services to students within a school setting in Gloucester Virginia.

Requirements
Current Virginia licensure or other applicable credential required to provide physical therapy services.
Appropriate education training and professional experience necessary to perform school-based physical therapy services.
Experience providing physical therapy services to students with disabilities in a school or educational setting preferred.

Responsibilities
Provide direct physical therapy services to students in accordance with their IEPs and assigned service requirements.
Conduct physical therapy and functional evaluations.
Prepare written evaluation reports recommendations and appropriate physical therapy interventions.
Participate in eligibility IEP manifestation determination and multidisciplinary team meetings as requested.
Monitor student progress and complete required service and progress documentation.
Consult and collaborate with teachers administrators parents special education personnel and other members of the multidisciplinary team.
Provide recommendations regarding accommodations assistive technology adaptive supports and specialized instructional supports within the scope of physical therapy services.
Provide consultative services to instructional staff and families regarding students physical and functional needs.
Assist with Medicaid documentation and billing requirements where applicable.
Coordinate scheduling and service delivery with administrators and designated case managers.
Maintain accurate reports service records progress documentation and other records required by the school.
Maintain confidentiality in accordance with FERPA IDEA HIPAA where applicable and other governing requirements.
Maintain required professional licensure certifications and professional standards throughout the assignment.
Perform other duties as assigned
