Spry Geriatric Therapy Group is growing and hiring a Physical Therapist in Ottawa Illinois. A sign-on bonus is available. Full-time is preferred and new graduate PTs will receive dedicated support and mentorship. About the Role
You will work in an outpatient orthopedic clinic with a primary focus on geriatric patients treating a caseload that is approximately 50% orthopedic conditions and 50% neurology and weakness cases. All sessions are one-on-one and one hour in length with full-time PTs seeing 8 to 9 patients per day. Home visits are available for interested clinicians comprising up to approximately 10% of the caseload. The practice actively encourages and supports clinicians who want to pursue geriatric specialty development or certification. Spry was founded by a board-certified clinical specialist in geriatric physical therapy and the team is small passionate and deeply committed to individualized evidence-based care for aging adults.
Schedule
The clinic operates Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm. Weekends and major holidays are not required. Some flexibility to stay until 6:00pm two or three days per week is preferred based on clinic needs. The specific work schedule will be determined during the hiring process based on clinic needs and candidate availability.
Compensation and Benefits
Starting salary for a full-time position is in the range of $91200 per year with increases based on experience and qualifications. Benefits include paid time off 7.5 paid holidays annually a Simple Retirement Plan with company match funding specifically designated for geriatric continuing education mileage reimbursement for home visits and a monthly health stipend.
Qualifications
Candidates must be eligible for Illinois state licensure as a Physical Therapist. Geriatric certifications or relevant experience treating the aging adult is preferred but not required. New graduate PTs are welcome and will be fully supported and mentored. Full-time availability of 40 hours per week is preferred. Part-time candidates with a minimum of 20 hours across at least two weekdays will also be considered.
