Job Description
Under the direction of the Director of Inpatient Services the Physical Therapist will provide physical therapy evaluation treatment education and discharge planning in accordance with physician orders and professional standards.
Essential Job Functions
- Conduct evaluations including strength range of motion balance coordination posture muscle performance respiration and motor function.
- Develop individualized treatment plans.
- Administer therapeutic exercise manual therapy and modalities.
- Modify treatment plans based on patient progress.
- Educate patients on home exercise programs and assistive devices.
- Document evaluations treatments progress notes and discharge summaries.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team.
- Participate in quality improvement and safety activities.
Experience Training & Education:
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program
- Hospital orthopedic or rehabilitation experience preferred
- Current North Carolina Physical Therapist License; BLS required
- Strong communication clinical reasoning documentation and customer service skills
