Summary:Help our team lead the charge on visual journalism in a North Texas market hungry for it. From breaking news to viral trends youll set the agenda and shape how our audience understands critical issues through photo and video.

Job description: Strong visuals are the basis of this internship. From the first week you will be expected to perform like a staff member shooting and editing stills and video working under tight deadline pressures and using social media on the job for professional purposes. Editors and other photographers will critique your visual storytelling and technique including lighting composition lens work cropping toning captions and video editing.

• Write accurate and compelling photo captions

• Work under tight deadline pressures

• Use social media on the job for professional purposes

• Work with editors to develop coverage that resonates with our digital audience

What will it take to be successful

• Your effective organization smooth workflow and technical excellence will be required to complete a heavy workload of shooting

• Youll demonstrate the ability to transmit on deadline submit numerous images for slideshows send smartphone stills and/or video from breaking news or live events occasionally shoot SLR video and potentially work on short- or long-term projects.

• The culture of our newsroom will demand positive energy intelligence excellent written and verbal language skills grace under pressure attention to detail and big picture vision.

• By taking full advantage of learning from our very strong shooters you will be better prepared to enter the workforce full time.

• Valid drivers license and registered vehicle to travel to assignments
