Schedule: 40 hours per week. Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
Contract Length: 1 year

Benefits: $5.09 per hour for Health and Welfare 10 days PTO Accrued sick days and 11 Paid Holidays.
Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Phlebotomist to join a healthcare team in Toppenish WA. This role is ideal for professionals who are passionate about patient care laboratory support and delivering excellent service in a clinical setting. The selected candidate will support laboratory operations through specimen collection patient interaction and administrative coordination.
Requirements:

Minimum of one (1) year of phlebotomy experience

Current CPR or BLS certification required

Strong knowledge of specimen collection and laboratory safety procedures

Ability to meet Yakama Service Unit credentialing and background requirements

Must comply with IHS policies Medical Staff By-Laws state scope of practice requirements and national certification standards

Ability to meet IHS credentialing and background requirements
Responsibilities:

Perform phlebotomy procedures and specimen collection with emphasis on patient safety and comfort.

Support the pre-analytical phase of laboratory testing and related diagnostic processes.

Perform CLIA-waived testing while ensuring quality control compliance.

Manage laboratory inventory and accurately document patient information in the electronic health record.

Perform clerical duties including answering phones responding to staff and patient inquiries and maintaining organized records.

Oversee laboratory reception functions including patient check-in appointment scheduling and facilitation of laboratory services.

Coordinate patient flow in accordance with compliance requirements to enhance efficiency and minimize wait times.

Support internal external and organizational customer service; attend and participate in laboratory department meetings; and complete required training and continuing education to maintain competencies.
