About the role and where you will be working

Belmont Hospital Pharmacy is a small close-knit team of ten staff who take pride in creating a safe respectful and supportive workplace where every team members contribution is valued.

The role offers a varied and practical day-to-day workload. A typical day will include completing imprest duties across a range of wards outpatient dispensing and liaising with both internal and external stakeholders across the hospital.

The role also includes the delivery of IV fluids which will be required several times each week.

While working hours are negotiable the anticipated hours for the role are approximately 10:00 am to 3:30 pm providing an opportunity for flexibility while contributing to an important pharmacy service within the hospital.

About you

We are looking for an experienced Pharmacy Technician who is enthusiastic adaptable and keen to learn. While previous hospital pharmacy experience is valued it is not essential we are happy to support the right person to develop their hospital pharmacy skills on the job.

The ideal candidate will be a team player who is willing to pitch in support colleagues and take a practical solutions-focused approach to their work. Youll be someone who is comfortable thinking outside the square takes initiative and is keen to contribute to a positive and supportive team environment.

Full on-the-job training and support will be provided to ensure you feel confident and well equipped in the role.

Requirements

Participate in weekend and public holiday rosters and do overtime as required.

Completed a minimum of an accredited Pharmacy Technician Certificate III issued by a Registered Training Organisation in Hospital Pharmacy or Community Dispensary or has qualifications deemed by the employer to be equivalent.

Able to demonstrate excellent dispensing skills/techniques including calculation and measurement skills

Proven capacity to work as a team member
