Senior Performance Engineer to own and elevate API performance testing across a complex integrated application ecosystem. This role goes beyond executing load tests - it requires someone who can define performance strategy interpret results and clearly communicate business impact to both technical teams and leadership.

This position is a replacement for an existing contractor with the goal of a smooth transition once the right candidate is identified.

Key Responsibilities

Own API performance testing across a distributed ecosystem that includes:
- Salesforce
- MuleSoft
- Oracle
- Boundary and downstream applications with heavy API dependencies
Design and execute a comprehensive performance testing strategy including:
- Load testing
- Stress testing
- Scalability testing
- Endurance testing
- Volume testing
Develop structured performance test plans that clearly define:
- User and transaction models
- Test duration and ramp profiles
- Objectives thresholds and success criteria
Execute tests using industry standard tooling and analyze results to identify:
- Bottlenecks
- Failure points
- Scalability risks
Partner closely with engineering architecture and DevOps teams to:
- Drive root cause analysis
- Recommend remediation approaches
- Validate fixes
Leverage existing automation frameworks where applicable (Playwright TypeScript Cucumber)
Produce clear executive ready summaries outlining:
- What was tested
- Why it matters
- What the results mean for performance stability and risk
- Recommended next steps
