Shifts Available:
School Age Program operates on a Monday Friday 8 am 3 pm schedule. Must be available to work within those days and hours.

The Role: Physical Therapists in the School Age Program are creative energetic career-oriented professionals who are motivated to educate individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in an ungraded self-contained classroom. Our school programs operate on a 12-month calendar. This is a great opportunity to get valuable experience and knowledge working in physical therapy. What You Bring to Brightway Living & Learning:
- Physical Therapy license in New York State with current registration
- Minimum of bachelors degree in physical therapy from accredited university or college
- Experience treating children with disabilities preferred
What Youll Do:
- Provide physical therapy according to the mandated paperwork (IEP IFSP etc.).
- Provide required documentation for services that your program or supervisor has outlined for you.
- Complete required documentation for services as outlined by federal state and county regulations.
- Maintain documentation in a professional efficient accountable and confidential manner.
- Attend and pass all required training during the initial training period as well as on-going recertifications.
- Be familiar with and perform job duties in accordance with all agency and program policies and procedures.
What You Must Be Able to Do:
- Modify the area to secure the safety of the children i.e. move/push tables and other heavy objects up to 20 lbs.
- Lift/move 20 lbs. (mats)
- Run after a student up to 500 feet
- Run to a classroom in need up to 500 feet.
- Kneel twist and bend
- Respond to fire alarms
