The Role

We are looking for a hands-on People Systems & Analytics Manager to lead the evolution of our technology at Abby Care. This is a full-time hybrid position based in San Francisco CA.

At Abby Care our mission is built on people and its powered by systems. As we scale nationwide we need our technology to work as hard as our caregivers do. We are rapidly moving out of our early-stage workflows and preparing for the complexity of an enterprise-level workforce.

Reporting to the Director of People Operations you will be the internal product owner for our entire People tech stack and the architect of our people data strategy. You arent just a system admin or a report builder; you are the person who understands the interdependencies of our data.

We need a strategic builder who can manage whats here now while preparing us for whats coming next. You will ensure our current tools run flawlessly while leading the evaluation and potential implementation of enterprise-grade systems. Simultaneously you will define how we use data to make decisions turning raw information into the insights that will power our growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Systems Roadmap and Product Ownership: Act as the primary architect for our People technology. You will define how our various people tech systems (e.g. for ATS HRIS Payroll Benefits) connect ensuring our tech stack scales ahead of our headcount.

  • Workday Implementation Ownership: As the internal owner for our Workday implementation you will serve as the primary architect and project lead for our transition to the platform. You will translate complex business requirements into scalable Workday configurations ensuring that our data architecture supports long-term growth and high-integrity reporting

  • Lead Systems Updates and Transitions: Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of system evaluations and systems implementations as needed. You will gather requirements manage project timelines and lead technical configurations to ensure any new tools / systems integrate seamlessly into our workflows.

  • Integrations and Automations: Own the connections and integrations between our systems. You will be responsible for building and monitoring integrations that eliminate manual data entry ensuring that information flows accurately and reliably between our various systems.

  • People Data Strategy and Governance: Define the roadmap for how we collect store and use people data. You will determine which metrics matter (e.g. turnover caregiver capacity hiring) and ensure our data is structured audit-ready and compliant.

  • People Analytics Strategy: Serve as the strategic lead for people analytics collaborating with our Business Analytics Associate to develop data modeling dashboards and visualizations that will support our business. As part of this you will design executive-ready dashboards and narratives that help leadership understand workforce trends and make informed decisions about our growth and our people.

  • Process Optimization: You will identify manual bottlenecks in our operational processes (including processes like onboarding and offboarding) and design automated scalable solutions to fix them.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with key stakeholders to figure out what they actually need from our systems to be successful. Youll take those high-level requirements and turn them into a cohesive scalable technical reality ensuring our solutions are not just quick fixes but compliant integrated systems that support our people as we grow.

  • Change Management and Enablement: Ensure our team actually knows how to use the systems you support and the tools you build. You will create clear down-to-earth documentation and lead training sessions that drive high adoption and reduce user error.

  • Vendor Management: Manage our relationships with third-party systems vendors and consultants. Youll hold them accountable for performance manage renewals and ensure we are getting the most out of our technology investments.

The Requirements:

  • Experience: 8 years of progressive HR Operations or Analytics experience with at least 4 years focused on People Systems and/or Data Strategy. You have thrived in a high-growth startup environment and/or a complex organization where processes had to be built or or significantly rebuilt to support scale.

  • Systems Architect: You are a natural operator who understands how systems talk to each other. You have hands-on experience building maintaining and improving integrations (API EDI or flat-file) and dont mind getting into the weeds of calculated fields or logic-based workflows to get the job done.

  • Data Strategist: You have a proven ability to think through data architecture. You know how to structure data so its actually useful for long-term forecasting and analytics.

  • Product Management Mindset: You dont just set up a tool or system; you own it and help it evolve. You can translate a messy business problem into a cohesive technical solution that is compliant scalable and actually works for the people using it.

  • Data Integrity and Audit Readiness: You understand that in healthcare data accuracy is critical. You have experience establishing data-validation rules and maintaining systems that are audit-ready.

  • Clear Communication and Empathy: You are a clear down-to-earth communicator. You can explain a complex system logic to a non-technical recruiter or a market leader with the same clarity and patience you use when advising the executive team on a tech roadmap.

  • Operational Agility: You are comfortable working in the gray. You can execute a manual process today while designing the automated solution for tomorrow. You are a problem solver who fixes operational debt rather than avoiding it.

  • Vendor Partnership Expertise: Experience holding external vendors and partners we work with accountable. You have negotiated new contracts renewals and managed vendor relationships to drive performance and value.

  • Modern Tech Stack Fluency: You thrive in a cloud-native environment. You are highly proficient in Slack and Google Workspace (G Suite) using them for rapid communication and real-time collaboration. You are comfortable navigating multiple SaaS platforms simultaneously and prefer agile digital workflows over static files and email chains.

  • AI Fluency: You are comfortable using AI tools to work smarter. Whether its using AI to help audit large datasets draft clear system documentation or find more efficient ways to validate manual inputs you look for ways to use technology to increase your impact.

  • Implementation Experience: You have played a key role in (or led) the end-to-end implementation of a major enterprise-level HRIS or ERP. You know how to manage a project timeline handle data migration and configure complex business processes from scratch.
