Position: Multiline P&C Underwriter
Type: Contract
Compensation: $80/hour
Location: Remote
Commitment: 2040 hours/week

Role Responsibilities

• Design realistic underwriting scenarios involving new business renewals exposure analysis and risk-improvement requirements.
• Create underwriting assessments quote rationales and declination explanations to support model training.
• Write golden reference responses at experienced underwriter quality to guide AI model outputs.
• Grade AI-generated responses against structured rubrics for technical accuracy and adherence to guidelines.
• Identify unsupported assumptions and inappropriate acceptance or declination decisions in AI outputs.
• Provide written feedback to the research team to improve model behavior and performance.

Qualifications

Must-Have

• 2 years of professional P&C underwriting experience.
• Experience underwriting major segments like personal lines commercial property or professional liability.
• Understanding of the underwriting lifecycle from submission to nonrenewal.
• Ability to explain how account characteristics and market conditions affect underwriting decisions.
• Strong written reasoning sound risk judgment and high attention to detail.
• Ability to separate underwriting decisions from claims handling and brokerage advice.

Preferred

• CPCU AU ARM or comparable insurance designation.
• Multiline underwriting authority.
• Experience with E&S MGA/MGU Lloyds or program-business.
• Catastrophe-exposed property or high-severity casualty experience.
• Experience with small commercial middle-market national-account or high-net-worth segments.

Start Date
