Job Summary
The PC Support Technician provides desktop and technical support for end users by installing configuring troubleshooting and maintaining computer systems software printers mobile devices and peripheral equipment. The role supports daily IT operations by resolving hardware and software issues managing user accounts deploying workstations maintaining IT assets and ensuring compliance with organizational cybersecurity policies and IT standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide help desk and desktop support for hardware software and operating system issues.
- Install configure maintain and troubleshoot desktop computers laptops printers and peripheral devices.
- Perform system imaging software installation operating system deployment upgrades and patch management.
- Configure network adapters internet connections and peripheral devices.
- Diagnose and resolve network connectivity cabling and configuration issues.
- Respond to user service requests and provide technical assistance.
- Manage and resolve IT service tickets according to service level agreements.
- Support user accounts system access and workstation deployments.
- Maintain IT asset inventories and hardware/software documentation.
- Assist with technology refresh projects and hardware upgrades.
- Coordinate with network and infrastructure teams to resolve complex technical issues.
- Support organizational IT policies standards and cybersecurity compliance.
- Provide on-call support for maintenance and mission-critical incidents when required.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship with an active Secret Clearance.
- IAT Level II Certification or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in desktop support help desk or PC support.
- Experience installing configuring and troubleshooting computer hardware and software.
- Knowledge of Windows workstation administration.
- Experience resolving network connectivity and hardware issues.
- Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Microsoft Windows 10/11 certification.
- Microsoft Server 2016/2019 certification.
- Microsoft Modern Desktop Administrator certification.
- Experience supporting enterprise IT environments.
