Were looking for a Payroll Technician to join our team and support payroll operations for a multi-location this fully remote role youll play a key part in maintaining payroll accuracy supporting time and attendance processes resolving employee inquiries and helping ensure compliance with payroll regulations and company policies.

- Process payroll-related transactions including direct deposit changes tax withholding updates voluntary deductions and W-2 requests.
- Respond to employee payroll inquiries and provide timely and accurate support.
- Calculate and process payroll corrections adjustments exceptions and on-demand payments.
- Troubleshoot and maintain employee records within the time and attendance system.
- Partner with Human Resources Accounting and other departments to identify and resolve payroll discrepancies and issues.
- Support compliance with Department of Labor (DOL) Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and company policies related to timekeeping and overtime practices.
- Interpret and process child support orders garnishments and other court-ordered deductions.
- Process payments through centralized Friend of the Court (FOC) programs.
- Run payroll interfaces and assist with payroll calculations including gross-to-net processing payroll taxes and general ledger reporting.
- Reconcile payroll balances review payroll controls and resolve routine discrepancies.
- Provide payroll data to authorized agencies while maintaining strict confidentiality.
- Support payroll tax withholding and deposit activities.
- Assist with year-end payroll processes including the generation and distribution of W-2 forms.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Six (6) months of payroll accounting or related experience with a basic understanding of payroll principles.
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications including Excel and Word.
- Experience working with SAP Payroll or a similar payroll/business system.
- Ability to learn and become proficient in company payroll systems and processes.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to adapt and remain effective in a fast-paced customer-focused environment.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
- Associates or Bachelors degree in Business Human Resources Information Technology Accounting or a related field.
- SAP Payroll experience.
- Advanced payroll processing knowledge or experience.
- Knowledge of accounting principles.
- Experience processing multi-state payroll.
- Experience with time and attendance systems.
- Experience with in-house payroll processing.
