Job Summary
Responsibilities:
- Process high-volume weekly payroll for a large hourly and tipped workforce across multiple legal entities and states.
- Lead coach and oversee the payroll team setting priorities and holding the team accountable.
- Assess the current payroll department build an improvement roadmap and put controls in place.
- Manage tip pooling tip reporting and the reconciliation of tip distributions to payroll.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal wage and hour laws including final pay deadlines overtime and garnishments.
- Oversee payroll tax administration and year-end W-2 processing.
- Partner with Finance on general ledger reconciliations and labor reporting.
- Work with location managers to ensure accurate and timely payroll submissions.
Requirements
Requirements:
- 8 years of progressive payroll experience including managing a payroll function.
- Experience processing weekly multi-entity multi-state payroll for 600 employees.
- Strong knowledge of wage and hour compliance payroll tax administration and year-end reporting.
- Advanced Excel skills including reconciling large data sets.
- A self-starter who can assess a department set priorities and drive improvements independently.
- Restaurant hospitality or tipped workforce payroll experience is a plus.
- Hands-on iSolved experience is a plus.
Required Skills:
Requirements: Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field. Experience as a Senior Accountant or in a similar role with full month-end close responsibility. Strong experience with journal entries accruals and balance sheet reconciliations. Experience with accounts payable oversight and 1099 reporting. Ability to work independently and bring structure to an evolving environment. Restaurant food service or other high-SKU industry experience ideally multi-location is a plus. NetSuite QuickBooks Desktop or system conversion experience is a plus. R365 experience is a plus.
