We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Payroll Manager to join our team. This position will manage Payroll staff and the day-to-day payroll operations. This position requires a degree in Accounting Finance Business or a related field.Duties and Responsibilities:
- Administer and perform payroll functions for the company in accordance with current acceptable accounting and cost reimbursement principles and as may be directed by the HR Manager or Controller
- Delegate the administrative authority responsibility and accountability necessary for carrying out your assigned duties.
- Assist in implementing the day-to-day policies and procedures governing the payroll functions.
- Process and verify time cards/sheets etc. on a timely basis.
- Prepare payroll checks in accordance with current pay periods to ensure that employee checks are received on a timely basis
- Perform other duties as assigned or requested to meet the companys needs.
- Must have as a minimum three (3) years experience in payroll preparation.
- Required software experience: Foundations Workmax and Payroll4construction
- Experience with certified payroll
- Demonstrated ability to make decisions and exercise good judgment.
- Ability to take initiative and be flexible while meeting multiple demands within a team environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Well-developed computer skills including competence & proficiency in Microsoft Excel
