Job Overview

The successful candidate will assist with payroll administration employee records timesheet management and payroll queries while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities
Assist with the preparation and processing of monthly payroll.
Maintain accurate employee payroll records including starters leavers salary changes and personal details.
Process timesheets overtime holiday records sickness information and payroll adjustments.
Support the calculation of wages deductions tax National Insurance and pension contributions.
Respond to employee payroll queries professionally and promptly.
Liaise with HR and management teams regarding payroll information.
Ensure payroll data is accurate and processed within required deadlines.
Maintain confidentiality of employee financial and personal information.
Assist with payroll reports audits and administrative tasks.
Keep up to date with payroll procedures and relevant employment legislation.
Requirements
Essential:
Previous experience in payroll finance administration HR administration or a similar role.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling numerical information.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office especially Excel.
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Desirable:
Experience using payroll software such as Sage Payroll Xero BrightPay or similar systems.
Understanding of PAYE National Insurance pensions and statutory deductions.
Payroll qualification or relevant accounting/administration training.
