Job Summary
Job Summary:
This position is responsible for the day to day payroll and time administration for Ready Mix Cement and Prevailing Wage hourly employees.
Duties:
- Review employee time sheets and automated time records on a daily basis.
- Process Union and Non-Union Multi-State Payroll.
- Support Sr. Operations Manager with various tasks and projects as required.
- Generate weekly/Semi-Monthly Payroll Recon Reports.
- Analysis of Garnishments Set up and maintain to ensure accuracy and timely deposit and delivery.
- Manually calculate and code hours to specific cost centers.
- Process time records in accordance with established pay rules for non-union/union employees (10 bargaining agreements).
- Follow up with supervisors for Time and Attendance approvals.
- Resolve payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing data.
- Maintain employee time-off records (vacation sick leaves of absence etc.).
- Provide customer service to employees and managers.
Education: - High School Diploma and some college business course work required.
Requirements/Qualifications: - 3 to 5 years prior payroll experience.
- 1-3 years multi-state union and non-union payroll processing.
- Knowledge of State payroll rules and regulations for prevailing wage in CA WA and OR.
- Working knowledge of MS Office with proficiency in Outlook and Excel.
- Accurate efficient and timely completion of all payroll deadlines and cut-off periods.
- Excellent analytical and written and verbal communications.
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
Preferred: - Union Payroll experience.
- SAP/Payroll experience.
- Construction industry payroll experience.
