Job Summary

Payroll Analyst responsibilities include reviewing payroll data and documents for inefficiencies and errors checking whether all amounts are accurate based on hours worked and ensuring payments are made on time.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Review timesheets and attendance records and correct inaccuracies
  • Prepare and submit all necessary paperwork for tax deductions benefits and garnishments
  • Analyze compensation-related data including wages and bonuses
  • Oversee payroll transactions
  • Conduct regular audits on payroll procedures and records
  • Process benefit costs like insurance fees and sick leaves
  • Design document and implement procedures to streamline payroll processes
  • Manage payment calendars for the fiscal year
  • Report to management on payroll issues and changes
  • Answer employees questions about salaries and tax
  • Stay up-to-date on state and federal payroll and tax laws
  • Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions will be processed accurately and timely
  • Perform other duties and special projects as requested



Minimum Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Payroll Analyst Payroll Coordinator or similar role
  • Knowledge of state and federal payroll and tax regulations
  • Hands-on experience with payroll software
  • Familiarity using Excel and spreadsheets
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • The ability to work under tight deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

  • BS in Human Resources Management Accounting or relevant field

Physical Demands

  • Physical demands include a considerable amount of time sitting and typing/keyboarding using a computer (e.g. keyboard mouse and monitor) or adding machine
  • Physical demands with activity or condition may occasionally include walking bending reaching standing and stooping
  • May require occasional lifting/lowering pushing carrying or pulling up to 20lbs

This role requires regular ongoing inâoffice presence. Employees are expected to work onsite which includes non-company locations where we conduct business the majority of the time to support collaboration productivity and business operations according to the schedule set by supervisors and/or branch management.
