JOB PURPOSE
This position is responsible for the administration preparation processing auditing and reconciliation of payroll for U.S. employees across multiple locations and pay groups. The Payroll Administrator II serves as a subject matter expert for payroll operations ensuring compliance with federal state and local regulations while partnering closely with Human Resources Finance supervisors and external payroll vendors. The role supports payroll system administration reporting process improvement initiatives and the resolution of complex payroll issues.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


Administer and process payroll for hourly and salaried employees across multiple states ensuring accurate and timely payroll execution.
Serve as the primary point of contact for complex payroll inquiries tax issues garnishments deductions and payroll-related compliance matters.
Work on multiple platforms partnering with vendors on system administration maintenance testing upgrades and reporting needs including SAP ADP Workforce Now SuccessFactors Employee Central and UKG Time and Attendance.
Run and audit payroll reports time evaluation reports and exception reports to ensure data accuracy and compliance with company policies.
Review payroll inputs and transactions for accuracy; identify discrepancies and coordinate corrective actions with HR supervisors and employees.
Balance payroll reports and payroll-related accounts; prepare payroll journal entries and support month-end and year-end close activities.
Process off-cycle payrolls special payments bonus payments retroactive adjustments and other payroll transactions as required.
Research resolve and document payroll discrepancies tax issues wage attachments garnishments and employee payment concerns.
Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with federal state local and company payroll requirements.
Assist with payroll tax reporting annual tax filings W-2 processing and other regulatory reporting requirements.
Support payroll audits including internal audits external audits 401(k) audits and benefit plan audits by gathering and reconciling requested information.
Other duties and responsibilities as required.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS


Bachelors Degree in Accounting Finance Business Administration Human Resources or related field.
5 years of payroll processing and administration experience.
Experience processing multi-state payroll for hourly and salaried employees.
Strong knowledge of federal state and local payroll tax regulations and wage and hour laws.
Systems experience using payroll HRIS and timekeeping systems.
High level of attention to detail accuracy and follow-through.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
Track record of resolving complex payroll issues independently with documented root cause analysis and process improvement outcomes.
Ability to identify process improvement opportunities and implement solutions.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS


Experience processing union payroll.
Familiar with SAP ADP Workforce Now SuccessFactors and UKG/Kronos
Knowledge of garnishments wage attachments and payroll tax reporting
Experience participating in payroll system implementations upgrades or integrations.

Compensation:

The compensation range for this U.S.-based position is $76770 - $85330 annually.

This position is eligible to participate in the company incentive plan. The terms and conditions of the company incentive plan will be provided to plan participants on an annual basis.

Our compensation range reflects our good faith estimate of what an ideal candidate can expect but final agreed-upon compensation will always be based on the individual candidates experience skills qualifications and other job-related or market factors that may prove relevant during the hiring process.
