Are you looking for an opportunity to build your healthcare skills while making a meaningful difference in patients lives As a Patient Care Technician (PCT) in the Observation Unit at Deaconess Gateway youll play an important role in delivering exceptional patient care while working alongside a dedicated team of nurses and healthcare professionals.

As a key member of the care team youll provide hands-on support that promotes patient comfort safety and positive outcomes. Responsibilities include:

• Assisting patients with personal care needs such as bathing oral hygiene toileting and linen changes
• Supporting mobility repositioning transfers and ambulation
• Monitoring and documenting vital signs and patient observations
• Recording important patient information accurately in medical records
• Providing compassionate care and emotional support to patients and their families throughout their stay

The Observation Unit at the Gateway Campus is a 32-bed department designed to evaluate diagnose and treat patients who require short-term monitoring and care. Because patients typically stay between 8 and 24 hours team members gain exposure to a wide variety of diagnoses and medical conditions making this an outstanding environment for learning and professional development.

Required:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification within six months of hire
